TESPA is the Tantallon Elementary School Parents Association. Formed in the early 1980's the purpose of the association is to provide a social and communication link between the home and school, as well as organize events and fundraising to enrich the educational programs for the children attending our school. TESPA is completely run by parent, guardian and community volunteers.

With the help of school families, we raise funds for the school in a variety of ways including the annual Spring Fling, selling Christmas Wreaths and Spring Flowers, participating in the Campbell's Soup Labels for Education program and through parental donations.  Funds have been given to the Music program, Physical Education program, the Library, Resource rooms, Computer lab, school sign and each individual classroom and are used to provide many necessary items and extras that support and enhance our students learning. 

In addition to our fundraising efforts, TESPA organizes and coordinates many social events for the school. Some of these include the Ice Cream Social, Staff Appreciation Week and Winter Carnival Week.  This also includes our newest initiative, the KIDS CARE campaign. Parent volunteers also coordinate the pre-primary program, staff the library, arrange book fairs, handle the safe arrival program and look after the landscaping at both the junior & senior building.  If you are interested in helping out in any of these areas, contact information for the subcommittee coordinators can be found on the link to the left.

The TESPA Executive Committee consists of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, 4 Members-At-Large and Past President positions. All are elected parents of students within our school.  Details of the positions and length of term can be found under the bylaws.  

TESPA meets in the music room of the senior building the third Wednesday of every month. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend these meetings to discuss any concerns, find out answers to questions they may have, or to offer support and new ideas.
